Car Air Conditioning System Diagram

 Car Air Conditioning System Diagram

This diagram shows the circuit of a car's air conditioning (AC) system, explaining the flow of coolant inside the system.

Below are the components and the route:

Circuit Flow:

1. Compresor (Compressor)

Function:

Compresses low-pressure cooling gas from the evaporator, turning it into high-pressure and high-temperature gas.

Location :

 In the car engine.

Flow:

Evaporator to Condenser (Blue to Red).

2. Condensador (Condenser)

Function:

Cools high-pressure cooling gas and turns it into liquid by releasing heat to the outdoor air.

Location: In the front of the car, near the radiator.

Flow:

Hot Gas → High Pressure Liquid (Red Color).

3. Dryer Filter (Receiver Dryer)

Function:

Filters impurities and removes moisture from the cooling liquid.

Flow:

Sends clean coolant into the expansion valve.

4. Expansion Valve (Expansion Valve / Orifice Tube)

Function: Controls the amount of liquid coolant entering the evaporator and reduces its pressure.

Flow: High Pressure Liquid → Low Pressure Liquid (Red to Blue).

5. Evaporador (Evaporator)

Function:

Absorbs the heat of the air inside the room and evaporates the soda.

Location :

Inside the passenger compartment.

Result:

Cold air is blown into the interior of the car.

6. Low and High Pressure Tap (Low Side Tap / High Side Tap)

They are used to measure pressure and load coolant in the system.

Downside:

 Low Pressure (Blue Color)

High side:

High pressure (color red)

Bottom line:

The car air conditioning system works by compressing, cooling and circulating the refrigerant to absorb the heat of the room and expelling it outside, thus providing fresh and comfortable air inside the vehicle.
