POWER PLANT
HVAC System
a] HVAC system shall be provided for temperature and Humidity Control of the control room.
The HVAC system shall meet the requirements of all the related Saudi Aramco standards.
b] The air conditioning shall be provided through
Air Conditioning Units. 2x100%, units shall be provided, with automatic change
over facility to standby unit(s) in case of failure of working unit(s.
c] Necessary provision shall be made to introduce
filtered fresh air as per applicable standards.
d] The indoor condition shall be maintained as per
requirements of SAES-K-001.
e] The HVAC system shall switch-off automatically
upon detection of fire.
Painting
a] General
The painting of above-ground pipeline fittings, equipment, etc.
b] Surface Preparations
i. All surfaces to be painted and coated shall be
cleaned and prepared in accordance with SAES-H-100, SAES-H-101 and 09 SAMSS-089
as applicable and meet the specific requirements of the selected
painting/coating system.
ii. The quality control record shall be maintained
as required by the Saudi Aramco standard.
iii. The surface preparation shall be inspected by
the Owner/Engineer and approved before proceeding to paint.
iv. The Contractor shall ensure to meet all the
safety requirements as outlined in SAES-H-102 during execution of work.
c] Protective Coating and Paint Systems
i. The type of protective coatings and paint the system shall be selected in accordance with Saudi Aramco standards SAES-H-001 and SAES-H-002 with the approval of Owner/Engineer, unless otherwise specified elsewhere.
The storage and handling of the paints shall also meet the
requirements of these standards.
ii. The equipment and above ground piping shall be painted in accordance with the paint system
iii. The valves shall be painted in accordance with
APCS-4, meeting the requirements of the above-mentioned standards.
iv. The paint shall be selected according to the
respective paint system in accordance with requirements of SAES-H-101V.
v. The method of paint application, quality
control and the required dry film thickness shall meet the requirements of
SAES-H-100. The Contractor shall maintain the necessary equipment/instruments
and quality control records accordingly.
vi. The primer, intermediate coat and top coats
shall be of contrasting colors.
vii. All safety requirements during painting/coating
shall be met in accordance with SAES-H-102.
FBE Coating of Buried Pipes
a) The Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) coating of buried pipe shall be carried out in accordance with APCS-104
b) Adhesion test of coating shall be carried out
c) 100% holiday test of the buried coated pipe
e] Color Schedule
The color schedule of the above-ground piping, fittings, equipment, etc.
shall be as approved by the Owner/Engineer for different mediums and/or service of pipe/equipment.
