Thermal Expansion Valves (TXV)
Thermal Expansion Valves (TXV) in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems
Introduction
Thermostatic Expansion Valves (TXV) are used to regulate the flow of coolant to the evaporator, helping to improve the efficiency of cooling and air conditioning systems. These valves come in two major types of equations:
External Equalizer: Used in systems with very low pressure in the evaporator.
Internal Equalizer: Suitable for small systems where pressure bands inside the evaporator are limited.
