SCOPE OF WORK AND
TECHNICAL PROVISIONS
1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 This
Schedule “B” establishes the scope and schedule of WORK and means of initiating
the WORK to be performed by CONTRACTOR. It describes or references the
specifications, instructions, standards, and other documents, which CONTRACTOR
shall satisfy or adhere to in the performance of the WORK.
1.2 Because
of the technical nature of this Schedule “B”, it has not been translated into Arabic.
CONTRACTOR and COMPANY agree to be bound by the English text.
2. COMPANY/CONTRACTOR SUPPLIED
MATERIALS, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT
2.1 COMPANY
Supplied Materials
COMPANY shall furnish all the
materials necessary to perform the WORK.
2.2 COMPANY
Supplied Tools and Equipment
COMPANY shall furnish all
equipment and tools necessary to perform the WORK, excluding CONTRACTOR’S
personnel’s personal safety gear.
2.3
CONTRACTOR Supplied Tools and
Equipment
CONTRACTOR shall
supply and furnish all its personnel’s personal safety gear.
3. SPECIFIC DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
3.1
CONTRACTOR shall be fully ready and
equipped to Supply skilled manpower with different categories to
assist in the maintenance activities for Gas and Steam Turbines at SEC Power
Plants at SEC-Central operating Area (COA).
3.2
The expected season for the required
manpower is starting on the first of September of every year and ends by the 15th of
April of the following year.
3.3
CONTRACTOR shall be fully ready to supply the required skilled manpower to the specified site as per
the issued SERVICE ORDER (in
accordance with the provisions of Attachment “I” to this Schedule “B”) within thirty
(30) calendar days of the SERVICE ORDER issuing date.
3.4
CONTRACTOR shall provide COMPANY
with the required qualified personnel to perform the services described below:
3.4.1. To
perform all assigned maintenance activities.
3.4.2. Carrying
out scheduled maintenance.
3.4.3. Perform
multi-craft tasks.
3.4.4. Performing
regular preventive maintenance works.
3.4.5. Replacement
WORK which includes, but is not limited to, pumps, compressors, valves, Heat
exchanges, Bearings, etc.
3.4.6. Any
other activities related to the above activities.
4. PERSONNEL
QUALIFICATIONS and requirements
4.1 All
of CONTRACTOR’s personnel assigned to a SERVICE, ORDER shall meet the minimum
personnel qualification requirements set forth in Attachment II to this
Schedule “B”.
4.2 COMPANY
shall specify in each SERVICE ORDER the job classification required to be
provided by CONTRACTOR and the number of skilled manpower required for each
classification.
4.3 COMPANY
reserves the right to review, evaluate and approve the personal resume/bio-data
of all prospective candidates prior to assignment to a SERVICE ORDER to ensure
that the applicant’s application meets the job requirement.
4.4 COMPANY
also reserves the right to review, at any time during the performance of a
SERVICE ORDER, the technical background of CONTRACTOR’s personnel. Should any of CONTRACTOR’s personnel assigned
to a SERVICE ORDER found to be not suitable due to any reason, COMPANY shall
have the right to terminate the SERVICE ORDER or advise CONTRACTOR to replace
such personnel at no additional cost to COMPANY within a period of seven (07)
calendar days.
4.5 CONTRACTOR
shall, under no circumstances, transfer or remove or replace or reclassify any
of its personnel assigned to a SERVICE ORDER without a prior written approval
by COMPANY.
5. WORK LOCATION
5.1 COMPANY
shall assign the WORK location of each CONTRACTOR personnel assigned to a
SERVICE ORDER.
5.2 COMPANY reserves the right to change the WORK location of any CONTRACTOR’s personnel at any time during the SERVICE ORDER duration at no additional cost to COMPANY. COMPANY shall advise CONTRACTOR thirty (30) calendar days in advance prior to the change in CONTRACTOR’s personnel WORK location.
6. WORK SCHEDULE
6.1 COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE shall assign
the WORK schedule of each CONTRACTOR’s personnel assigned to a SERVICE ORDER.
CONTRACTOR’s personnel shall report to their assigned WORK location on time.
6.2 The normal WORK schedule for CONTRACTOR’s personnel
assigned to a SERVICE ORDER shall be eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per
week (Saturday through Wednesday).
6.3 COMPANY official holidays and weekends
(Thursday and Fridays) shall be considered days-off for CONTRACTOR’s personnel.
However, COMPANY reserves the right to change the above WORK schedule. The
total regular working hours per week shall not be more than forty (40) hours.
However, CONTRACTOR’s personnel shall be available to WORK overtime when and as
required and CONTRACTOR shall be compensated in accordance with Paragraph 2.2 of
Schedule “C” for such overtime WORK.
6.4 During the month of Ramadan, the WORK
schedule for CONTRACTOR’s personnel (Muslims and Non-Muslims) assigned to a
SERVICE ORDER shall be according to COMPANY’s internal policy on this matter.
7. ADDITIONAL WORK REQUIREMENTS
7.1 CONTRACTOR
shall submit written weekly report for actual manpower assigned to the power
plants in the SERVICE ORDER. Such progress reports shall include the following,
as applicable.
7.1.2 Current manpower chart for each power plant.
7.1.3 Current total amount of manpower assigned to the SERVICE ORDER.
7.1.4 Explanation of any non-conformance to the issued SERVICE ORDER.
7.2 CONTRACTOR
shall make all of its calculations, documents, WORK schedules, and reports
available to COMPANY on request at all times during the execution of the SERVICE
ORDER.
7.3 CONTRACTOR
shall provide safe, reliable, and excellent conditioned safety gears to all of its
personnel assigned to a SERVICE ORDER, which is required in the performance of
their assigned tasks.
7.4 CONTRACTOR
shall provide the required catering and accommodation to all of its personnel
assigned to a SERVICE ORDER.
