 Computer basics

computer definition:

                     A computer is defined as an electronic device made up of physical (tangible) and software (intangible) parts. Its main task is to receive data, store it, and then process it and output it in the form of information.

   

 Data and information:

                         Data is defined as the raw material that cannot be used in its current form. As for information, it is defined as the product of data processing, that is, the facts that have been processed to benefit from.

  

computer components:

                     - Physical components and include three parts (input units - output units - system units).

                    - Input units whose mission is to enter data into the computer and consist of (keyboard - scanner - optical pen - roller ball - mouse - joystick - microphone - optical touch panel - digital camera - webcam).

                   - Output units and their task is to extract information from the computer in a visual, audio, or printed form and consist of (screens - printers - engineering painter - headphones).

                 - System units, which is the computer's box and consists of (motherboard - central processing unit - basic memory - random memory - read-only memory - storage unit - cards - modems - programs).


Areas of computer use:

    Computers are used in all areas of life, including but not limited to:

             - Companies and commercial establishments - scientific research - industry - medicine - education, news, and shopping - entertainment - office work, letter writing, and report printing.
