·         Each department manager must ensure that each employee receives a guide from the prevention and occupational health guidelines.

·         Every employee must be aware of the dangers resulting from the work he is doing, and the responsibility to educate him lies with the line manager, and the employee is responsible for his personal protection while performing his work.

·         The conditions of occupational safety and health apply to all employees and workers in the range of power stations, contractors, subcontractors, their workers, and their employees while carrying out the work assigned to them by the client to implement the provisions of the construction and installation of the power plant, and the Industrial Security Department in the scope of work is responsible for applying the requirements of industrial security and occupational health to them.


Duties of departmental managers, officials, and supervisors :


·         All officials working in supervisory positions, permanently or temporarily, must ensure that the employees working under their supervision comply with all the rules that apply to their work.

·         Ensure that employees and workers under their supervision comply with the issuance of work permits for works that require a work permit and that the precautions and recommendations stated therein are applied.

·         Work to provide adequate working conditions and environment.

·         Work to provide appropriate protective equipment approved by the customer, and to ensure that they are used in a correct manner.

·         Ensure that the various equipment, tools and equipment used are in compliance with the specifications and standards approved by the customer and maintain them properly and ensure that safety instructions are attached to this equipment when supplied.

·         Use of barriers, fences, barricades, lamps, tapes and other necessary warning signs approved by the customer inside and outside the client’s facilities when the work requires that.

·         Planning and implementing the work in a correct and safe manner.

·         Work must be distributed to employees according to their documented capabilities and qualifications based on a formal qualification for the jobs that require this.

·         Ensure employees are aware of the following:

·         The plan and scope of the work to be carried out.

·         Existing dangers that you may encounter during work.

·         The correct procedures for implementing the work in a safe manner by receiving the necessary training that qualifies them to carry out the work in a safe manner.

·         The obligation to issue a work permit and be the source for the issuance and delivery of the permit from those who are qualified for that, while adhering to the general instructions for work permits.

·         Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the work area.

·         Line managers shall make frequent periodic inspections of equipment and materials for construction, operation, maintenance, and work sites And the surrounding circumstances as part of their work, and work to amend the observations and conflict or conflict is safe in a timely manner.


For immediate superiors:


Raise a higher administrative level with any safety notes or insecure situations to amend them if they do not fall within the scope of their supervision or powers.

Make safety a part of their daily activities and educate employees that safety is part of work tasks and is always a priority.

Create a program to motivate employees to follow safety procedures in carrying out the tasks assigned to them.

Apply penalties according to work regulations against negligent safety measures.

Holding a meeting in the work area before carrying out the work to review the safety rules that must be followed to complete the work.

Holding a weekly meeting with the employees of the unit or department to remind them of the safety procedures rules and regulations.

Include annual plans for departments providing safety supplies such as tools and equipment and attending training courses on occupational safety and health, firefighting, and first aid.

·         The immediate superior does not have the right to force an employee to carry out work that has not been completed in compliance with the safety requirements and requirements, and the employee must not be held accountable in performance evaluation reports if he objects to the implementation of such work.

·         The departments concerned with contracting contracts must require contractors to:

·         Presenting the safety and loss prevention program to the company and accreditation from the industrial security. The contractor undertakes to fully implement what came in the program.

·         The contractor must appoint a safety engineer (head of safety) to be approved by the Industrial Security after making a presentation of the loss prevention program in the presence of the project manager and a representative of project management in order to ensure that the program is implemented in a way that leads to preventing losses.

·         The contractor must obtain work permits for the company according to the nature of the work to be executed in the prohibited areas specified by the company in accordance with the general instructions for work permits.

·         The contractor must secure first aid for an employee and provide a list of contracted hospitals to provide medical service to a worker in the event of injuries that require outside medical assistance.

·         The contractor must secure the necessary and approved personal protective equipment for its female employee, according to the nature of the work.

·         The contractor must provide places for the employee to rest and eat.

·         The use of tools and devices that meet the specifications.

·         Providing a safe work environment for female employees.

·         The contractor must ensure that its employees have received the necessary training that qualifies them to carry out the work in a safe manner.

·         The contractor shall establish a program to educate its employees about safety, and hold safety meetings every period and the company’s meetings

·         Before starting work, make sure that all his employees understand the safety rules and instructions that must be followed in order to complete the work And the application of evacuation procedures in case of emergency.
